Three new tracks have been uploaded to SoundCloud since June 2018.

Track 17, Ikaw Lamang, was uploaded in November 2018, then track 18, At Last I Have Found You, in February 2019. Finally, Your Love, was uploaded in March 2019.

Ikaw Lamang is a Tagalog song. However, I was not able to complete its lyrics; hopefully, there will be time to do it. An Android digital audio workstation (DAW), Audio Evolution Mobile Studio, was used to create this instrumental. I decided to add a percussion track to this song, which I thought might help make it sound better. It took me a bit longer to finish this song because of the challenges involved in choosing the instruments, in layering tracks together for the melody and in adding some sound effects.

The latest track, Your Love, was created with the help of an Akai Professional LPK25 (Laptop Performance Keyboard). This time I used Reaper as my DAW. Measure by measure, I recorded the notes on the accompaniment track (piano) with the LPK25 keyboard. I used the same method to record the melody track (harp). The virtual instruments were provided by the Collective from Tracktion. Pads, dulcimer, bells and bass tracks were added as additional accompaniment instruments. All in all, there were eight tracks when the instrumental was completed.

A nice feature of the Reaper DAW is the ability to change track properties, such as fade in/fade out, volume and pitch. You can split tracks and glue tracks. You can nudge tracks left and right. There are still so many things I have to learn when using Reaper, so many things to explore to make the most of this DAW.

Anyway, this is all for now. A new song is coming in the near future. I hope to upload it to SoundCloud sometime in May 2019.

It took me about five days to complete this composition. I've had this song in my head for years and, after the successful completion of the song, When the Breezes Blow, using Audio Evolution Mobile Studio for Android, I decided to work on this project using this Android digital audio workstation (DAW).

I had to use MIDI instruments for both the melody and the accompaniment. I wish I could record the melody using my voice but, unfortunately, I have difficulty singing due to a weak respiratory system. It would be nice to record guitar and electric piano tracks as part of the arrangement; however, my arthritic fingers prevent me from doing so. It's always a struggle to draw every note with the mouse pointer on a piano roll MIDI editor, but with patience and determination, the job ultimately gets done.

I also took advantage of the Audio Evolution Mobile Studio's built-in effects, such as: reverb and tremolo. This makes the composition somewhat sound interesting.

This composition is not perfect but acceptable, considering the simple music creation application software available for the Android operating system.

My Nvidia Shield, a high-performance Android TV box, has helped me a lot in accomplishing this task.

I hope this instrumental composition will sound OK to those who may be interested to listen. To me it sounds all right. Creating music is a challenge but it's a very satisfying experience overall.

If you appreciate what your colleague has done, you express your gratitude and show your respect for that person.

With true love, appreciation comes naturally, therefore gratitude and respect follow automatically.

Unfortunately, true love is so hopelessly blind that it just doesn't see the true nature of the beloved. The beloved can feign affection and the lover can be mesmerized to total submission of their will. Such a one-sided affair will surely break the lover's heart once the truth comes out into the open.

The truth is that the beloved may not really appreciate the lover and all the good things he/she has done. However, the lover only cares about one thing: seeing the beloved happy. This makes him/her very happy, indeed. For true love seeks nothing in return. True love just gives it all and appreciates all that it receives. On the altar of love, so many sacrifices have been offered to the beloved, so much pain has been endured by the heart. But the victims are fools, they just refuse to see and face reality.

Rare indeed is love that truly appreciates you, that thanks you and respects you. In a world where self-centredness reigns supreme, it’s pure luck to find this kind of love. I think the best place to search first for true love is there deep down inside your heart. For what matters is you greatly appreciate the one you love, the one you care for in your life, regardless of whether you are being appreciated or not.
